Drive from Matera to Lecce, a few pit stops along the way!

Christo promised me beach and it was just about that time! From Matera we headed to Lecce, Italy, which served as our "home base" for a few days due to its proximity to the Adriatic and Ionian Seas!

On our drive to Lecce we made a stop in Alberobello, Italy. It is an adorable town known for their "trulli" style and also special to me since dads side of the family is from there! Christo and I packed a lunch from leftover goodies we had purchased in Matera and had a picnic overlooking the town!

Once back on the road we pulled over a few times to take in the beauty of the Adriatic Sea. It is so nice not being on any sort of time crunch and truly embracing what's around you!!
